NOLA Lending has a strong day at Rouge Roubaix - The NOLA Lending Racing Team got off to a fast start for the 2010 racing season with Jerry Simon winning the Rouge Roubaix's Masters race and Diego Ortiz finishing second in the Category 3 race.  Jerry got away with a small group of riders on the block house hill climb during the second gravel section of the race and stayed away taking win.  Jason Miller finished 4th in the Masters race just behind Jerry's group.  (read Jason's race report)

Diego Ortiz joins Midsouth Masters - The club welcomes Diego Ortiz who will begin racing with our NOLA Lending Racing Team in the 2010 season.  Diego has enjoyed much success in his racing endeavors both as a junior and through other categories including his current Category 3 classification.  Diego will provide a punch of youth as our team begins to focus on Category 3 events as well as Master's races.
2009 LAMBRA Cycling Cup Series Champions- NOLA Lending Racing Team took the top three spots in the season long Louisiana - Mississippi Bicycle Racing Association (LAMBRA) Cycling Cup Series for Master 35+ racers.  Jason Miller finished 1st place followed by Mark Graffagnini in 2nd and Jerry Simon in 3rd.  Ed Novak and Jay Scheib also finished in the top ten placing 7th and 8th respectively.  This is the second championship in 2009 for the team as Jaro Jurenka took the top honors for Cat 1,2,3 in the Track season earlier in the year.  It also marks the second year in a row that our team has won the road title with Mark Graffagnini taking first in 2008.

24 Hours of Clear Springs Mountain Bike Race - For the second year in a row, Team Buckwheat took first place in the 24 Hour of Clear Springs mountain bike race in Clear Springs, MS.  Rusty and Jason were back from last year's team and joined by Ed and Mike Lew.  The course was very sloppy with all the recent rains which actually lead Brian Coleman, the race organizser, to cut the race to just 13 hours when the course continue to degrade into the evening.  Team Buckwheat was still able to complete 10 labs while the next best teams could only complete 9.  (read Jason's race report)
